What The Pope Just Did Shocked Everyone. But It’s Absolutely Awesome.
Some people don’t approve of Pope Francis’s open minded attitude. He’s the first Pope to say that homosexuals could go to heaven and he even got rid of the bulletproof bubble that surrounded the Popemobile so he could be closer to fellow Christians. All he cares about is people and praying for others. But, he was stillable to shock thousands by what he did this week.
True sacrifice requires actual sacrifice. The Pope didn’t care if he would get sick, he just wanted to pray with the disfigured man.
The new Pope was in his open-air Popemobile leaving St. Peter’s square when he noticed a severely disfigured man in the crowd.
Pope Francis decided to do the unthinkable.
He approached the man covered in boils, held him and kissed him on the forehead.
Unlike everyone else, the leader of the Catholic Church was not afraid to get close to the sick man.
He laid a hand on his head and prayed for the man.
Servitude and sacrifice isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about doing what’s needed for the best of the people… and Pope Francis knows that.
